Meet the Team

We all love working with children. What excites us is creating an environment where children can relax, enjoy themselves, make strong friendships and discover the depth of their own unique abilities.

Tanvi is a trained teacher (PDGE in Primary Education) and has worked in childcare for over 10 years. She began working with children as a volunteer at day and residential camps, and then spent many school and university summers working on these camps as an activity or dorm leader: Supercamps, XUK and Shishukunj.

Tanvi has also worked in a variety of education settings, working with children from ages 3-16 in schools across London. She is currently Head of Classics and Head of the Library at Wetherby Prep School in Central London, but loves working at camp in her holidays.

Having studied an undergraduate course in Language and Culture at UCL and spent several gap years travelling all over the world, Tanvi is passionate about the importance of culture, community and connection and is excited to bring these themes to Fuze Camps.

Reeya is currently a trainee primary school teacher, due to attain the qualifications of QTS and PGCE in Summer 2023. In the last 10 years, Reeya has been heavily involved with Shishukunj. In this time, she took on various senior roles, including Deputy Lead at the Harrow centre of Shishukunj London from April 2021 - July 2022. She has also spent her university summers working with National Citizen Service (NCS) as a Senior Mentor, which is a camp for 15-17 year olds. She continues to volunteer at Shishukunj alongside her teacher training and her work with Fuze Camps.

Reeya studied an undergraduate degree in Psychology (BSc), stemming from a lifelong passion of promoting wellbeing. This continues in her current work as a teacher, where she has been part of the Young Carers Team at school. This team organises activities and sessions for those who take on additional responsibilities at home.

Reeya is very excited to start organising activities for the children to develop their social skills as well as encouraging discussion and strategies to do with a holistic approach to wellbeing.

Shairi is trained in several arts including: Singing (Indian Classical and Jazz), Dance (Gujarati folk, Bollywood, Ballet, Hip Hop, Afro and Commercial) and Visual Art (Mixed Media). She has been working and volunteering with children since her teen years and loves working on holiday camps. She is a current volunteer at Shishukunj and has previously been a staff member at Showstoppers performing arts camps and XUX residential camps.

Outside of camp, Shairi is currently studying for a BA in Russian and Philosophy at Bristol University. At university, she is the lead singer in Bristol University Jazz Orchestra, a national competitor in the University’s advanced Hip Hop team, and also holds a Vice Chancellor’s scholarship for Indian Classical music. She is really looking forward to organising the arts options for camp this year.

Ajay started his journey in childcare and child development at Shishukunj Mombasa (Kenya) over 50 years ago. After attending first as a participant, Ajay quickly rose through the ranks as a volunteer and eventually became head of his own Shishukunj branch in Wembley (when he moved to the U.K. as a teenager). This later merged to become part of Shishukunj London.

After beginning his own family here, Ajay then co-founded Sansaar UK. Sansaar is a charity dedicated to the promotion of Gujarati language and culture among young children, through fun and music. It has been operating in the U.K. for over 22 years now and runs one of the largest children’s navratri events in London and Leicester every year. Ajay began as a committee member and performer. Now retired from his career as a management consultant, Ajay continues his work with Sansaar as the current chairman.

Ajay has always loved working with children and is looking forward to bringing his lifetime of experience to this fresh new concept.
